Nathan

CO-OWNER, OPERATIONS, & INSTALLER

Nathan is the co-owner of Exciting Windows! By Couture by Karen. He oversees our business operations and ensures every detail is handled with care.

In addition to managing the business side, from time to time, he gets hands-on by assisting with installations to help bring beautiful windows designs to life.

Outside of work, Nathan loves spending time with his wife, Hilary, and their two daughters, Jade & Zoey. He’s also an avid golfer & enjoys hitting the course whenever he gets the chance.

Hilary Hinz

CO-OWNER & LEAD RESIDENTIAL DESIGNER

Hilary is the Co-Owner of Exciting Windows! By Couture by Karen. She specializes in custom residential window coverings that blend function with exceptional design.

She has a BS in Interior Design from BGSU, and over a decade of industry experience. Hilary previously owned a full-service interior design firm. She also served as a manager & designer for a startup kitchen and bath design company for five years.

Her well rounded expertise and passion for creating beautiful, livable spaces makes her a trusted name in home design. In her free time Hilary enjoys spending time with her husband, Nate, and their two daughters, Jade & Zoey.

Carolyn Beyersdorf

COMMERCIAL SALES LEAD

Carolyn joined the team at Exciting Windows! By Couture by Karen in March of 2025 as our Commercial Sales Lead. With a career in commercial design spanning decades, Carolyn brings exceptional expertise and a keen eye for detail to every project.

She holds an NCIDQ certification, an Associates degree from Davis College in Interior Design & Business, and also attended the University of Toledo where she studied Architectural Technology through the College of Business. Carolyn is also a member if the IIDA.

Outside of work, Carolyn enjoys attending community events & cherishes spending time with her family. Her passion for design and commitment to building lasting client relationships make her an invaluable asset to the team.

Emily Oehlers

OFFICE & SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

Emily is our dedicated Office & Social Media Manager. She combines her organizational expertise with her creative talents to keep the business running smoothly & our online presence fun and engaging.

With 12+ years of experience in the administrative field, Emily ensures efficient day-to-day operations run smoothly. She also manages the company’s social media platforms.

Emily holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Photography from the Columbus College of Art & Design. Her artistic background fuels her love for the creative side of window covering design.

Doug Cook

LEAD RESIDENTIAL & COMMERCIAL INSTALLER

Douglas is the lead residential and commercial installer for Exciting Windows! By Couture By Karen. He’s known for his exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Douglas takes great pride in every project he works on.

He brings a level of skill and care, with his strong background in woodworking and craftsmanship, that ensures each installation is completed to perfection.

Outside of work, Douglas enjoys spending quality time with his sons, and can often be found out on the water pursuing his passion for fishing.
